Humberside Police have launched an appeal after a 14-year-old boy was followed down an alleyway, before being attacked by another teenager.

He has been left with facial injuries following the incident, which occurred on Wednesday 26 August a around 3pm.

The alleyway is situated off Red Lion Street in Goole.

It is alleged that the teen was followed as he cycled down an alleyway in the town’s centre, after which he was violently attacked.

Humberside Police are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the attack or has any information to come forward.

A spokesperson said:

“We are appealing for independent witnesses to come forward after a 14-year-old boy was assaulted in Goole.

“The incident happened as the boy rode his bike down an alleyway between Red Lion Street and Wilson Street, at around 3pm on Wednesday, 26 August.

“Another teenager is said to have followed him into the alleyway and assaulted him, leaving him with facial injuries.

“The attacker is described as white, 5ft 8in tall, medium build, blonde hair. He wore burgundy zip-up hooded Adidas top and black jogging bottoms.

“If you have any information that could assist us in our investigation, please call our non-emergency 101 line, quoting incident number 16/89867/20.”

The severity of the victim’s injuries is currently unknown.

No arrests have been made.
