Face coverings reminder
“Face coverings are mandatory in most indoor spaces and we are all getting used to wearing them every day as we are out and about, but we need to remember how to wear them safely and make them effective in protecting us and others,” said a spokesperson.
The essential rules, according to the Government, are:
Do not touch the front of the face covering while wearing it
Remove it using the ear straps or from the back
Wash your hands thoroughly before handling the face covering.
“Doing this and other things helps to reduce the spread of infection of Covid-19,” added the spokesperson.
The reminder went out on social media with one follower commenting: “Might be a good idea, especially on supermarket entrances, to advise people to wear the mask covering both mouth and nose.
“The amount of people, especially the elderly, only wearing it over the mouth is ridiculous.”
