Roads have been closed following reports of a van crashing into the back of a truck just after 1pm.
Emergency services from Humberside Fire and Rescue, Humberside Police and East Midlands Ambulance Service are on the scene.
Motorists are being diverted away from the scene via Great Coates and a local industrial estate.
Severe delays are being reported.
One person has been taken to Princess Diana of Wales Hospital as a result of the incident.
Their condition, and whether there have been any other injuries, is currently unknown.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said:

“Emergency services are in attendance to a three-vehicle collision at Great Coates, Grimsby, which occurred at 1.15pm today.

“A road closure remains in place whilst we deal with the incident and we would advise road users to avoid the area.”

An East Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson added:

“We received a call at 1.07pm on 22 September to Woad Lane in Great Coates.

“The caller reported that there had been a road traffic collision.

“We sent a paramedic in a fast response car and a crewed ambulance. One patient was taken to Diana Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby via crewed ambulance.”
