Scheduled to open in 2022, Grimsby Youth Zone will be a state-of-the-art facility open young people aged 8-19, and up to 25 for those with additional needs.

With development work well underway, young people from Grimsby are invited to cast their vote to help choose the new name and logo for the new centre.

Two potential logos have been designed and voting is now open to choose the winning name and logo.

The youth charity aims to provide thousands of young people with somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to.

The centre will be open 7 days a week, costing just 50p per visit.

Activities will include indoor climbing, football, dance, drama, music, media, cooking, employability workshops and much more.

According to OnSide Youth Zones the development is being orchestrated by a group of young people from across the borough.

Earlier this year, the development group worked in partnership with local design agency, SourceFour, to create potential names and logos for the new Youth Zone.

The group successfully designed two potential names and logos for Grimsby Youth Zone.

The two options are Horizon Youth Zone or GY Youth Zone.

Development Group member Rachel said:

“We’ve done our bit now it’s time for you to do your bit. Let’s bring Grimsby back to being great!
