Another North Lincolnshire school has reported a case of coronavirus via a letter to parents.

The case has been confirmed to be a member of teaching staff at South Axholme Academy, in Epworth.

Those who have been in direct contact with the teacher have been instructed to self isolate for a period of 14 days, however the school is remaining open for all other children.
A letter to parents states that aside from those in the same social bubble as the teacher, children should continue to attend if they feel well.
It continues:
“Please rest assured that we have completed all other actions including cleaning regimes as required by Public Health England and continue to work hard to limit any further cases as best as we can.

“Unless we are advised to do anything differently, the academy will continue to operate as it has since we returned on September 7.”

This news follows the announcement that increasingly children are behind the rising demand for tests in England.

According to recent data, demand for tests on young children have almost trebled this month, although only 1% have returned as positive.

3.5% of tests on adolescents came back as positive.

The sharp increase has coincided with the reopening of schools in England.
