Ten extra Humberside Police officers have been out targeting night-time poaching this weekend.
The officers carried out dedicated patrols around the rural parts of North Lincolnshire, including the Isle of Axholme and Barton and the Wolds.
Two men were detained and interviewed in relation to reports of badger setts being disturbed near Rawcliffe Bridge. A knife, hammer and lamp were seized.
A spokesman for the Force said: “Thankfully there were no calls for service in North Lincolnshire, but plenty of vehicles were stopped and miles put on the clock as high-vis patrols were carried out.”
The move was applauded by followers on social media, with one saying: “Great work, thanks everyone involved and stay safe.”
