Car hits 100mph in high-speed pursuit out of Grimsby

A car suspected of being linked to county lines drug dealing reached speeds of 100mph before being stopped by police after leaving Grimsby.

It failed to stop in the town and was tracked by Humberside Police‘s roads crime team along the M180 before being brought to a halt on the M18.

Pre-emptive Tactical Pursuit and Containment (TPAC) tactics were used to bring the pursuit to a safe conclusion in the incident on Monday.

Humber Roads Police Tweeted: “Vehicle entered our force area and failed to stop in Grimsby for local officers.

“Vehicle tracked by roads crime team and stopped using pre-emptive TPAC on M18 after speeds over 100.

“Numerous offences dealt with.”

The Humberside Police Dog Section was also involved.
