Police investigating a burglary in Grimsby want a man who was wearing a distinctive jacket in the area to come forward.

The burglary took place in Norwich Avenue, off Laceby Road, at 6.15pm on Friday, September 25.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “We have been following up on a number of lines of enquiry, but are now appealing for anyone who saw a man on a bike wearing the distinctive jacket in the area at the time to come forward.”

The man is described as being around 5ft 11in tall and was wearing a white hooded ski jacket and jeans.
It was reported that cash was stolen from inside a property with a man making off on a bike from the rear.

If you remember seeing a man matching the description, or have any information that you believe could help with enquiries, call the non-emergency number 101 quoting log 472 of 25 September.

Humberside Police have this week visited residents in the area of Redcar Grove, off Beverley Crescent, in Grimsby after an attempted burglary.

A spokesperson said: “Officers have completed house to house offering reassurance to both the victim and residents. Some Humber Talk surveys were completed and Crime Prevention advice provided.”
