Armed officers and helicopter attend Grimsby house
Armed response officers, a helicopter and a dogs section have been sent to a house on Bluestone Close in Grimsby this afternoon.
A cordon was in place on Weelsby Street from around 12:30pm.
Humberside Police have now confirmed that the operation is in connection with the search for wanted man Tom Allen.
Mr Allen, 25, is wanted in relation to a serious assault on Ladysmith Road on Thursday night.
Detective Inspector Vicky Huyton said:
“Proactive action to locate Mr Allen continues and we are working tirelessly to find him, so that we can speak to him in connection with a reported assault at an address on Ladysmith Road, Grimsby on Thursday 8 October.
“Whilst the address search in Grimsby today proved negative, neighbourhood officers will maintain a visible presence in the area for community reassurance and to speak with any members of the public who have concerns.
“We have further lines of enquiry to take and I would continue to urge the public to be vigilant and contact us if you see him or have any information that could assist with our search.

Tom Allen is thought to have fled the scene on Thursday, leaving a male victim with serious head and leg injuries.
A police search was immediately launched.
