Scunthorpe nursery children in isolation

A group of children at Bottesford Bunnies Pre-School in Scunthorpe have been sent home following confirmed case of coronavirus.

It is the second case identified at the nursery, and has resulted in a temporary closure.

Parents of affected children were informed of the situation via an email sent out on Sunday morning.

It reads:

“We have followed national guidance and have identified that your child has been in close contact with the affected person.

“In line with national guidance your child must stay at home and isolate until 6th of November 2020.

“Bottesford Bunnies will be closed until 9th November 2020 on advice from Public Health England.

“If your child is well at the end of the 14 days period of self-isolation, then they can return to usual activities.”

Strict safety measures including a one-way system had been in place at Bottesford Bunnies

It has not been stated whether it is a pupil of member of staff who has tested positive.

An unspecified number of children are now in self-isolation.
