Dream big and design bigger. Adapt to change. Realise your potential.

Use your inquisitive, collaborative nature to help organisations turn big ideas into business-changing reality. This is where you have the chance to build a truly dynamic and varied career, one that springboards off of your potential.

What is Consulting at EY?

In Consulting, our purpose of building a better working world is embodied in our mission to transform businesses through the power of people, technology and innovation. We’re here to guide our clients as consultants and to do this as a skilled and diverse team that is determined to put humans first, deliver the best technology and leverage innovation at scale. For you, this means using your inquisitive mind to create exceptional client experiences. This is how we create long-term value – and long-lasting careers.

The working world is constantly changing. For our clients, this can create better ways of doing things but it might also involve more risks. Our job is to combine industry knowledge and innovative thinking with a knack for asking thoughtful questions to help solve our clients’ toughest business problems.

What will you be doing?

Whether you join us in Business Consulting, Enterprise Risk, People Advisory Services – Workforce Advisory, Technology Consulting, Technology Risk, or Quantitative Advisory Services, you’ll be considered a Consultant from your first day. We’ll help you develop the skills to identify how each client problem is different and to find creative ways of solving them. You could be:

  • Working with clients, alongside your project team
  • Working on a broad range of business challenges as you help companies turn strategies into action
  • Working with companies to reduce a variety of risks and put more reliable processes in place
  • Helping organisations adapt to challenges and leverage technology to transform their businesses
  • Helping clients build a deeper understanding of their risks, using advanced quantitative modelling techniques
  • Working with the HR teams within organisations to bring out the very best in their employees
  • Developing your technical analytical skills
  • Going to workshops and presenting your work to clients
  • Travelling in the UK and beyond, as the project calls for it and as we adapt to the current climate.

No two projects will be the same, so you’ll experience a wide variety of learning and have support from colleagues along the way. You’ll also study for professional qualifications with ACA, CFAB, CIPD, CIMA or similar institutes, depending on which programme you choose. If you do well, there may be opportunities to be promoted to Senior Consultant by the end of the programme.

This is your opportunity to shape the future of work alongside people who believe in our cause. Get to the heart of what we do and become an active partner in our future. Define who you want to be and join us in our journey to build a better working world – together.
