An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the award-winning Sustainable Development Team, to improve the environmental performance of Nottingham Trent University (NTU). In this senior role within the Sustainable Development Team, you will lead on environmental management and in particular on waste management across all waste streams and associated waste contracts, in accordance with the waste hierarchy. You will also lead in managing and implementing the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, ensuring compliance with policies, environmental legislation and communicating its relevance appropriately. You will also line manage direct reports who support this work.

As the Environmental Manager, you will have a degree in an environmental discipline, management experience, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to complete tasks to deadlines, ensuring a high level of accuracy, at all times. You will also be a pro-active and self-motivated individual, with the ability to use your initiative, prioritise your own workload and to work within a team.
