Position: Lead Cloud Consultant Job Description: The Lead consultant delivers technology solutions and provides architecture and pre-sales technical support a to the Sales & Vendor Teams around the Arrow portfolio and to the partners in both a Technical & Commercial manner. This role will focus specifically on the Hybrid cloud and modern datacenter technology. Key vendors in portfolio are Microsoft Azure, NetApp and the EMC portfolio. They are responsible for delivery and installation engaging with the relevant vendor teams and owning workshops/ assessments. The candidate will also have extensive knowledge and experience in cloud migration & architecture projects. Strong Installation services background. Key Skills / Experience / Technology skills •    Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a delivery and pre-sales role within datacentre and or cloud services service’s. •    Professional and specific Cloud and Modern datacentre vendor accreditations from Microsoft, VMware, NetApp and EMC and other ecosystem vendors. •     Cloud and datacentre domain knowledge and expertise – evidenced by blogs, articles or technical writing work. •    Clear, logical and persuasive communication skills with an ability to work closely with executives and employees at all levels. •    Ability to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the Cloud and datacentre industry and services. •    A highly entrepreneurial spirit that manifests itself in a “let’s make it happen” approach, coupled with initiative and adaptability.   Missions •    Go-to technical specialist for sales team and downstream partners on Cloud and datacentre product portfolio.  •    A thought leader regarding the choice of platform, migration & benefits for a partner and their customers. •    Participation in RFPs for key customers. •    Onboarding and enablement of new vendors & downstream partners. •    Presenting to Arrow customers the products and services portfolio and the benefits of working with Arrow. •    Design, management & delivery of Cloud and datacentre solution demonstrations and labs.  Responsibilities Vendor, Partner, Arrow Duties will include but are not restricted to: •    Responsible for Architecture design and delivery for Cloud and datacentre solutions. •    Establish technical relationships with partners and, on occasion, with end-user organisations as well as key stakeholders like CIO’s and the many and varied stakeholders who contribute towards an organisation’s Cloud and datacentre strategy. •    Review and assure appropriateness and technical integrity of solutions. •    Make pre-sales calls on prospective partners, participate in local and regional seminars, and act as a technical account specialist for existing customers. •    Be the technical focal point for partner engagements around demonstrations, potential Cloud and datacenter solutions & programme expertise supported by the relevant vendor team.  •    Deliver solution presentations to partners, at vendor events and industry events. •    Advise clients transitioning to cloud-based and managed desktop services. •    Serve as subject matter expert for digital workplace platform capabilities. •    Engage partners in development of comprehensive digital workplace services offerings. •    Train, educate & incentivise partners alongside the BDM team.  •    Work in tandem with the various business development and sales teams in fulfilling sales goals and responding to RFI/RFPs.  •    Work proactively with the Arrow Cloud team to drive MSP engagement around cloud adoption with in the Arrow services portfolio. •    Provide pre-sales technical support to the sales and vendor teams covering specific vendors to be determined in consultation with the Director of Technology and Services.. •    Remain knowledgeable & fully certified with a strong understanding of current industry technology, trends, and the competition.  •    Spend at least 2 days each week presenting in front of partners in small (round table) discussions as well as large (seminar) audiences.  Hours of Work The company’s standard hours of work are 9.00am – 5.30 pm with one hour for lunch, however due to the nature of this role flexibility will be required in order to meet the needs of the role. In addition, this role is externally facing and therefore there will be the expectation that you will be required to travel upwards of 50% of the time.
