Science Academic Mentor – Croydon
Ribbons & Reeves are eager to receive applications from first-class Science Graduates looking to support Secondary School students within Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
Helping to bridge gaps in attainment caused due to COVID disruption, this rewarding Science Academic role will involve tutoring students across Years 7-11.
Keen to ensure that all students within Science reach their predicted GCSE grades, we are pleased to offer this Science Academic Mentor role in partnership with a highly-regarded Secondary School in Croydon.
Science Academic Mentor – Job Specification
- Working 1:1 with students aged 11-16
- Delivering small group intervention sessions (2-4 students)
- Making Science easier to understand and explaining difficult concepts
- £70 per day | £350 per week | Paid weekly
- Role will last until July 2021 initially
- Well behaved, eager to learn students!
- Friendly Science Department who can offer support and guidance
- Interviews being set up ASAP | Immediate starts available
Science Academic Mentor – What do you need?
- First-Class degree in Chemistry, Biology or Physics
- Outstanding results at A-Level and GCSEs
- A passion for Science and a desire to pass this on to others
- A confident personality and the ability to motivate and inspire 11-16 year olds
- Patience, resilience and a never-give-up attitude
- Aspirations of qualifying as a Science Teacher in the future
