Charity shop window proves a monster hit with the public
A Cleethorpes charity shop has won a competition for the best autumn-themed store window.
- Winner of the large business category (3+ shops) was the British Red Cross shop on St Peter’s Avenue
- Winner of the independent business category was Arttopia on Grant Street
- Winner of the popular Facebook vote was the British Red Cross with more than 200 votes.
Most businesses that took part in the shop window competition have also been part of the popular Monster Trail, which has seen lots of families getting out and about in Cleethorpes spotting the cute monsters.
Councillor Callum Procter, portfolio holder for tourism, heritage and culture, and one of the judges, said: “It’s fantastic to see so many local businesses getting involved and seeing so many people taking part in the Monster Trail. It was a pleasure to help judge the competition and see all the wonderful displays and autumnal colours.”
The Monster Trail, which was due to end this Saturday, has now ended early due to the upcoming lockdown.
Completed entries should be handed in to The Paint Box on Cambridge Street. Winners are expected to be announced next week with the top prize of £100 to spend with a Cleethorpes town centre business.
