New Covid-19 cases at Cleethorpes school

New Covid-19 cases were announced yesterday (Monday) by Cleethorpes Academy after issuing a letter to a small number of students who have been told to self-isolate as a precautionary measure.

This comes after a new teaching rota was announced by the Academy to ensure sufficient teaching staff for students after a number of staff tested positive for the virus before the half-term.

A letter from the principal, J C Hornby, read:

“We have been advised by Public Health England that there have been further confirmed cases of Covid-19 within the school.”

“This letter is to inform you on the current situation and provide advice on how to support your child.”

“We are continuing to monitor the situation and are working closely with Public Health England.”

“The small number of children who have been in direct prolonged contact with one of these confirmed cases have received an individual letter and will be staying at home for 14 days as a precautionary measure.”

The letter also provides help-lines and and a list of symptoms in addition to information regarding what to do should your child develop symptoms.
