Tragic news after Grimsby collision

An 85-year-old woman has sadly died following a collision on Yarborough Road, Grimsby, last night.
Humberside Police were called to the scene at 11.45am following a collision at the junction with Cross Coates Road between a white Suzuki Alto and an ambulance response car which was responding to an emergency.
A significant emergency services presence was described and the road was shut to traffic for several hours following an immediate response to the incident.
Sadly, the lady – whose family have asked is not named publicly – passed away at the scene.
An 87-year-old man, who was also travelling in the Alto, has suffered serious injuries.
Specialist teams are investigating the circumstances of the collision and are appealing for anyone with information or
dash-cam footage which could assist Humberside Police to come forward.
The public are being asked not speculate about the cause of the collision on social media.
