Don’t miss your bin day over Christmas!

It’s always a struggle to remember what day of the week it is over the festive period, but don’t forget when bin day is!

In the excitement running up to Christmas Day, just a little reminder that wheelie bins and kerbside recycling boxes will be collected a day earlier than normal.

If your collection falls on Tuesday the 22nd of December, your collection that week will move to Monday the 21st of December.

Wednesday collections will move to Tuesday, Thursday collections will move to Wednesday and Friday collections will move to Thursday.

The week running up to New Year’s Day, all Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday collections will be done as normal.

However, collections normally done on Friday, will move to Saturday the 2nd of January.

Brown bin collections in North Lincolnshire were suspended from the 23rd of November, following a reduction in the amount of garden waste and staffing pressures in the sector due to the impact of Covid-19, but are set to start up again week commencing the 11th of January.

Remember, don’t gift to landfill this Christmas; most of your extra rubbish over the festive period can be recycled in your bins, boxes and bags.
