By The so-called ‘beast from the east’ retuned over night, which has brought snow and sub-zero temperatures to the UK.
Many parts of our area have woken up to a white covering this morning. Further wintery weather is expected throughout the day.
Motorists should take extra care on their travels as there could be transport disruption.
Scunthorpe last had a light flurry back in December.
The Met Office said temperatures could also plummet as low as -12C in some parts of the country as the Beast from the East returns.Reports say we could have more snow and sleet expected over the next week.
Today we have highs of 6 degrees but temperates are set to drop again later this evening.
