Mini-roundabout set to be removed

A mini-roundabout on Humberston Avenue which is ignored by most drivers set to be removed, North East Lincolnshire Council have announced.

The existing mini roundabout at the junction of Humberston Avenue and Grange Farm Lane, is often ignored by traffic, with most drivers going straight over it.

Works this month will see it replaced with a ‘T’ junction.

Most of the work will take place between Monday, February 15 and Thursday, February 18, 7.30am and 6pm, meaning traffic management measures will be in place for several days.

There will also be a nighttime road closure on Friday 19 February between 7am – 6am.

Works will also include carriageway resurfacing, kerb works and the renewal of road markings.

A crossing will also be relocated, and new traffic signs installed.

North East Lincolnshire Council’s regeneration partner, ENGIE, will manage and oversee the works with contractor, EC Surfacing Ltd, carrying out the works.

All involved have apologised for any inconvenience caused by the works.
