Lockdown has been difficult for thousands across the country and once restrictions are loosened everyone will want to be out of the house. We have put together a list of some of Grimsby and Cleethorpes best attractions in the area.

Docks Beers

Docks Beers is a craft brewery located in Grimsby. Visitors can watch brewers hard at work making up to 20,000 pints a week and get a real idea of the work involved in brewing their high quality craft beers. If you have not visited before it makes a great experience to see something new and they also offer a souvenir shop.

Grimsby Fishing Heritage Centre

Experience the famous height of the fishing industry of Great Grimsby. Men risked their lives in order to bring home fish to a port described as ‘the world’s premiere fishing port’. Come explore the museum and see their story. This is a great attraction for the whole family.

Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway

The ‘old style’ steam railway runs a short distance along the coast near the haven holiday park towards Cleethorpes and then another (bus) train takes you into to the pier area. There are stations at either end with shops for gift/souvenirs and at the southern end there is a tiny pub and beer garden.

Time Trap museum

The Time Trap Museum is situated in Grimsby Town Hall. The old Police cells and prisoner exercise area have been transformed into the Time Trap museum which maps the development of the town into the largest fishing port in the world. Children under 5 years old can go for free!

Grimsby Auditorium

Grimsby Auditorium is a theatre situated on Cromwell Road, in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire where they host many shows, performances and events. With a seated audience capacity of 1,200 the Grimsby Auditorium is the largest professional theatre in Lincolnshire. A number of up and coming shows have been announced such as: tribute acts, Sarah Millican, Illusion: Impossible and Rock of Ages the musical.

Cleethorpes Sea Front

Many locals may have visited Cleethorpes beach and sea front through out lockdown for daily exercise however when restrictions loosen more attractions will be available such as: arcades, food stalls, ten pin bowling and laser quest. More attractions are home this area such as restaurants, clubs and numerous mini golf sites. There are always new activities to do.

The Jungle Zoo

The Jungle Zoo is an interactive small animal zoo located in Cleethorpes. You can hold, touch and see a variety of different animals from lemurs and armadillos to exotic birds and reptiles! You can discover all sorts of fascinating facts, including where they come from and what they like to eat.

Grimsby Dock Tower

Grimsby Dock Tower is a hydraulic accumulator tower and a maritime landmark at the entrance to the Royal Dock, Grimsby. It was completed on 27 March 1852. Visitors can go up the 445 steps to the top or even look up the magnificent height from below.

Cleethorpes Boating Lake

The boating lake in Cleethorpes is a beautiful scenic area to visit with walks which lead to the beach, parks and around the lake itself. There are also pedal and row boats available to rent as a fun activity for families or friends as well as an activity/wildlife centre.

Grimsby Minster

Grimsby Minster is a minster and parish church located in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, England. Dedicated to St James, the church belongs to the Church of England and is within the Diocese of Lincoln. Inside there is beautiful architecture and incredible amounts of history to discover.
