Violent attack on Cleethorpe Road
Humberside Police have launched an appeal for information and witnesses after a ‘nasty’ assault on Cleethorpe Road.
A man is said to have been left with what are believed to be fractured ribs and cuts to his hands.
The incident took place at around 11pm on Sunday 7 February around Salacon Way off Cleethorpe Road in Grimsby.
The victim said that he and two friends were walking on Cleethorpe Road in Grimsby, when they were approached by three men who chased the trio.
The victims two friends managed to get away but the victim was caught and was subjected to an attack with what he describes as knives and metal bars.
A statement released by Humberside Police reads:
“If you know anything about this incident or were in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious please call our non-emergency number 101 quoting reference 16/20452/21.
“Any information you provide may not only help us with our investigation but could help prevent future crimes.”
