Two arrested in Grimsby arson investigation

Police officers have arrested two people in connection with a case of suspected arson in Grimsby this morning.

Emergency services including Humberside Fire and Rescue were called to Bedford Street just after 9am on Sunday morning.

A spokesperson for the organisation said:

“Three fire engines were called to the scene on Bedford Street. The initial call was at 9.08am.

“Fire investigations are still ongoing at this time.”

Scenes of Crime Officers from Humberside Police were also on the scene.

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of setting a first-floor flat alight.

They both remain in police custody at this time.
