Jaguar Land Rover to become all electric brand by 2030
The firm says the Jaguar Land Rover brand will lead the way with a complete zero-emission range by 2025.

Land Rover’s first electric vehicle is due to arrive by 2024 and will form the initial step into a six-strong model line-up.
All three of its British plants will stay open whilst the company works on the electric model range.
Thierry Bollore, chief executive, said: “It’s time to re-imagine the next chapter for both brands… British brands steeped in a rich tapestry of timeless designs.”
He added: “Together, we can design an even more sustainable and positive impact on the world around us.”
Shares in the company have risen 3% since the announcement of the new range and zero-emission target.
Jaguar Land Rover will spend approximately £2.4 billion annually on the electrification technologies and development of the vehicles.
The Prime Minister tweeted: “Great news Jaguar Land Rover is set to become an all-electric brand by 2025, a significant step towards becoming a net zero business by 2039.”
“A brilliant example of British engineering leading the industry to a cleaner future, as we build back greener.”
The fifth generation of the luxury off-roader is due to launch later this year, powered by a range of mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains.
The electric variant is set to follow in 2024.
