By An exciting new restaurant is coming to Scunthorpe and people are going crazy for it!
The Smoking Goat is set to open 23rd April for takeaway only and the restaurant is set to open 17th May all being well.
Danny Stamp, founder of The Smoking Goat said ‘it’s something that ive thought about for some time now. Scunthorpe isn’t really blessed with good casual eateries like Doncaster, Leeds and Lincoln and the bigger cities.
‘With me being a massive foodie myself I thought it would be a good idea to bring something along the street food vibes to Scunthorpe and with it being halal as well it just means that theres something for everyone really.
‘The restaurant itself will be based down on frodhingham road, pretty much opposite the polish social club. Easy access and theres plenty of street parking too.

Danny continues ‘It is a bit of a cross between an American diner and a steakhouse but you can expect burgers, chicken burgers, steaks, salmon, mac and cheese, creamy mash, popcorn shrimp, waffles, shakes etc. Everything will be home made in the restaurant from the burgers to shakes, even the sauces!’
‘The name is a bit of a funny story. Im a construction manager on the railway and i was just sat in my office one day talking to a couple of the lads about it and it just came to me. ‘The Smoking Goat’.
‘Everyone had a laugh for 5 minutes but after they agreed it was different and catchy so we ran with it. As for the logo, with me being a chilled out guy and I don’t take myself too seriously i wanted something that was different and something a bit casual so thats how the animated smoking goat was created.
