Update following Scunthorpe burglaries
A Scunthorpe man was charged on Thursday following a number of reports of burglary, theft and assault in February.
The 36-year-old was charged with assault, two counts of robbery, two counts of possession of a bladed article and six counts of theft.
It was reported several shops had items and cash stolen and in a separate incident, it was reported cash had been taken from a man at an ATM.
He subsequently appeared at Grimsby Magistrates Court yesterday, Friday 5 March.
The update follows an investigation into a reported incident of assault and theft on Frodingham Road.
On Wednesday 24 February, between 5am – 5:10am, a man was using a cash machine when he was then approached and assaulted by two men who stole his cash and a pushbike.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Humberside Police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 16/25200/21.
