Piers Morgan storms off Good Morning Britain in row with colleague

Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan stormed off set as the breakfast show quickly cut to a break as a row broke out between Morgan and co-star Alex Beresford.

Alex said he wanted to have his say as the cast were regularly forced to listen to Piers rants, and told him: “This is absolutely diabolical behaviour.”

The pair argued over whether what Meghan had said happened in the Royal family – questions over the colour of Archie’s skin – was racist.

Alex asked: “Do you know how much courage it takes to speak about this, to call this out?”

Alex said Piers attack on Meghan after the interview was tainted by his ‘previous relationship with Meghan, reports The Mirror.

Morgan then stood up and said: “OK, I’m done with this” and walked off set, saying: “Sorry, no… sorry, can’t do this…”

Morgan and Beresford were discussing the Sussexes’ bombshell interview with Oprah, where the couple accused the Royal Family of racism.

After publicly disagreeing on Twitter in the days leading up to the interview, the pair continued to clash in the studio this morning, with Beresford branding his colleague ‘diabolical’.

Susanna Reid eventually interjected and took the show to an early ad break while tensions cooled.

After the break, Morgan returned and said: ‘What it’s done is raise a lot of emotions.’

Turning to his colleague: ‘What we need to do Alex is talk to each other in a civilised manner given we work on the same show on the same team. You launching into a pretty personally derogatory monologue on one of your colleagues probably isn’t one of the best ways to go about it.
