Man attempted to attack woman last night near Macaulay Street

Last night at around 10:30pm, a man attempted to attack a woman walking alone near Macaulay Street, according to a source.

The man has been described as being around six foot tall, broad, and wearing all-black clothing, including a baseball cap, hoodie and a scarf around his face so only his eyes were visible to the victim.

He had a dog with him at the time of the incident, which was believed to be a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

The man ran up behind the woman and stood in front of her without saying anything, attempting to block her way forward. When a nearby resident opened their front door, he ran off.

Humberside Police have been informed and are patrolling the area.
