By The Beckwood has had a makeover and is excited to welcome customers old and new ahead of restrictions being eased on Monday!
The Beckwood is a cornerstone of the local community and is being brought back to its former glory by husband and wife team, Gary & Adele.
Gary said ‘We are really looking forward to opening, its been a long time coming but the nerves are also there. Will people come? will the weather put them off? So many questions, but the only way they will be answered is when the doors open on Monday. During the pandemic we have been offering our takeaway menu and just kept the place ticking over really. Its given us more time to make internal and external improvements around the pub.
‘There will be signs all around the pub and outside in the beer garden giving our customers guidance and setting out the current covid guidelines they need to follow. We have numerous hand sanitising stations for customers and our employee’s to use.’
With restrictions easing on Monday, The Beckwood are excited to welcome back customers!
Adele added ‘All seating is situated the correct distances and we will be operating a table service only as per the current guidelines. Customers and staff will be required to wear a face covering whilst moving around, I.e to toilets or entering or leaving the premises.
‘We have spent time redecorating parts of the bar and restaurant and adding capacity to our kitchen so that when restrictions ease further, we will be able to offer an even better venue inside for our customers. Outside we have refreshed our beer garden and invested in some large marquees and addition seating, with further improvements due in the summer. There will also be some additional team members who can’t wait to get to work and give our customers a great experience.’
Gary continued ‘we will be continuing to offer our reduced takeaway food menu including our highly rated Sunday lunches from Wednesday 14th April and our great chefs are working on a new relaunch menu which will be available when we are allowed inside dining again.
‘Our history with the pub started in September last year when we took over. We reintroduced live sport on our multiple tv’s in the bar, including a giant 100inch TV to watch your favourite team on. We also introduced some new beers to our guests and our menu was in its development stage but was hampered by lockdown. That said its given us more time to perfect the vision of our catering team, and I can promise some exceptional dishes are coming.’
Adele said ‘we can’t wait to see customers old and new at The Beckwood as the restrictions are gradually lifted and eased nationwide!’
