‘I’m a Celebrity’ theme park to open to the British public this summer

A theme park based on the hit ITV reality game show ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ is set to open in the UK this summer.

The I’m a Celebrity… Jungle Challenge theme park will be based at Quayside MediaCityUK in Salford, Greater Manchester.

Guests at the theme park will take part in a 90-minute set of challenges, including zip wires, mazes, climbing walls and parachute-style drops.

There will be recreations of Main Camp, Croc Creek and Snake Rock to make guests feel even more like they are a part of the much-loved game show.

The aim of the tasks will be for guests to collect as many stars as possible.

The guest who collects the most will be crowned King or Queen of the Jungle at the end of the 90 minutes.

The multi-million pound visitor attraction will be the first of its kind in the UK. It was scheduled to open to the public last year, but this was halted due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Guests must be at least eight years of age and a minimum of 135cm in height to be able to take part in the tasks.

An official opening date is yet to be confirmed, but it has been confirmed by bosses that it will be during this coming summer.

A statement on the theme park’s website reads: “The Jungle Challenge team are working hard to get the attraction ready for a 2021 opening, however, as you can imagine we too are having to accommodate the challenges presented by COVID-19.”

Those who wish to receive updates about the official opening date and be alerted as soon as tickets go on sale can register their interest on the theme park’s website here.
