Humberside Police looking for woman who helped assault victim on Abbey Road

Humberside Police are appealing for a woman who helped an assault victim on Abbey Road just before 12pm yesterday to come forward.

It is believed that the victim stopped the woman while she was on her way to work to ask for help after a reported assault.

A statement from Humberside Police reads: “We are appealing for a woman who helped a victim of assault on Abbey Road in Grimsby shortly before 12pm yesterday, Wednesday 28 April, to come forward.

“The victim is believed to have stopped this woman whilst she was on her way to work, asking for assistance following a reported assault. The victim then headed in the direction of Ripon Street.

“We would like to speak to this Good Samaritan, as she may be able to assist with our ongoing investigation.

“If this was you, we ask that you contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 174 of 28 April.”
