Play Avenue are excited to welcome back visitors!

Local role play centre, Play Avenue, cannot wait for restrictions to be lifted and to welcome back visitors on the 17th May!

Play Avenue in Messingham is a children’s role play centre – where little ones can try their hand at a whole host of ‘grown up’ jobs. From vet to builder, hair stylist to police person, they are free to explore while you kick back with a coffee in our cafe. Each area is kitted out with realistic and age appropriate props to give Play Avenue a ‘grown up’ feel.

Founder of Play Avenue, Amanda Carpenter said ‘We’re back Monday 17th May, it’s has been a tough year for businesses during the pandemic. Although we are a relatively new businesses we are as determined as ever to return with the same passion and enthusiasm. We’re busy getting ready to see you from the 17th May onward.

She added ‘Less than two weeks to go – but who’s counting! We have been overwhelmed by the support from regular guests, follower and our team members. We are good to go! All the recommended safety measures are in place to mitigate risks to our guests and team. We have successfully achieved the ‘We’re Good To Go” industry standard from Visit England.

Play Avenue’s online booking system is open now, and they recommend advance booking. They will be accepting walk in but please message ahead to check availability. Book now at

Amanda said that ‘sessions which couldn’t take place due to lockdowns can be rearranged, just pop a message to us on Facebook and we will rearrange without fuss.’

Postponed a party for your little one? As the restrictions ease we are hoping to see parties back on the menu from 21st June subject to government guidance

Parties at Play Avenue include:

  • Entry for one child and accompanying parents for the 90 minute session
  • A selection of party snacks and drink for the children
  • Table balloons and reserved seats
  • A free entry for the birthday boy or girl
