Rebecca is Scunthorpe’s Sewing Bee superstar!

Rebecca Grimbleby, 23, is showing the Great British Sewing Bee what she’s made of!

Everyone is pleased to see the return of the Great British Sewing Bee, which saw season 7 return on Wednesday 14th April at 9pm on BBC One.

All the contestants are sewing their socks off to win The Golden Mannequin with the usual challenges of making a garment from a pattern, up-cycling old clothes and the hardest challenge of all – The Made to Measure.

All eyes are on Rebecca from Scunthorpe who has so far made it though to week 4!

Rebecca was taught to sew from the age of four by her mum and nan, going on to study textiles at Level. A trained teacher, Rebecca finds making clothes the perfect way to relieve the stress of a working day.

As well as sewing, Rebecca’s hobbies include playing the piano and amateur dramatics and recently starring as the Good Fairy in a local pantomime.

This week saw international week where contestants had to make a ‘made to measure ‘ inspired by Frida Kahlo. Rebecca chose to make pink two piece with a vibrant floral print.

Rebecca made it through to next week where she will take on children’s week – we are rooting for you all the way!
