By A brand new baseball team in Lincolnshire is looking to be a great catch!
Captain and Founder Of Wragby Lowdowns Baseball Team, Kieran Campbell said ‘I got the idea by just a general interest in the sport really, I am a musician who plays live and also plays in a punk band but due to the pandemic we can’t play gigs at the moment, so I thought I’d start this team! The first training session went really well – great turn out – I shall be having high hopes for it.’
Kieran went onto add ‘The Lowdowns is a unisex team and anyone is welcome to join from the age of 16 plus. The first session went really well, it was amazing to see so many people get out and enjoy themselves which is what we aim for the inclusive sport.

No experience is needed, just learn as you play, meet new people and be in Lincolnshire’s only Baseball Team!
Kieran went on to say ‘we are a team for anyone, we welcome anyone with positive attitudes and behaviors. We are the only Baseball Team in lincolnshire and we would like to expand and get more players regardless if we already have enough, we want to build a community within Baseball in Lincolnshire.
‘To ensure the team meet Covid safe guidelines they frequently sanitise the bats and balls throughout play. Baseball is not really a close contact sport apart from the ‘tagging rule’ but we did way with that.’
