Police issue appeal to find next of kin for man who died at home on Freeman Street

Humberside Police have issued an appeal to the public to help find the next of kin for Michael Edward Johnson, 65, who sadly passed away at his home on Freeman Street last week.

Extensive enquiries have been made to locate Michael’s family to no avail.

His death is not being treated as suspicious.

A statement from Humberside Police reads: “We are appealing for help to locate the next of kin (NOK) of 65 year-old Michael Edward Johnson, who died at his home on Freeman Street in Grimsby on 2 May 2021.

“His death is not being treated as suspicious and despite extensive enquiries we are unable to trace his family or any known next of kin.

“Michael is thought to have links in the Oxford area.

“If you know or are in contact with Michael’s next of kin please call us on the non-emergency number 101 quoting Log 158 of 2 May 2021.”
