Indoor dining to return to Top Town Market
Traders offering indoor dining services are set to return to Grimsby’s Top Town Market as part of stage three of the roadmap out of lockdown.
The change is due to take place from Tuesday 18 May.
The market has remained open through the pandemic, with essential traders selling produce to the local community.
North East Lincolnshire Council have implemented a number of measures to keep staff and visitors safe, including the mandatory wearing of face coverings, an enhanced cleaning regime, hand sanitiser stations and social distancing measures.
In line with Government guidance, these measures will remain in place until Stage Four of the Government’s roadmap.
Councillor Stan Shreeve, portfolio holder for finance, resources and assets, said:
“We are thrilled to be welcoming back all of our hospitality traders to the market.
“As national restrictions continue to ease, the safety of all those that use the market remains our number one priority.
“Therefore, as stated in the guidance, all customers are required to order, eat and drink whilst seated.”
Rick’s Snack Bar and A Priest, A Mill and A Ferry Cafe will return to the market offering indoor dining, as well as take-out services.
The Icing Cabin and Hot Food to Go will also be open.
