The £4.5m M181 motorway infrastructure scheme has been reached with traffic now diverted around the new road layout.
All lanes are open and it appears that work has finished there now.
The development will enable the building of new homes and reduce congestion at Berkeley Circle.
It will also allow employment growth for Scunthorpe, creating a new sustainably focused extension to the town and the opportunity for commercial investment in some of our key sectors, particularly advanced manufacturing.
Further works to replace signage on the M181 and at Frodingham roundabout are expected to be finalised by June.

Drone pictures show the rapid work that has taken place in North Lincolnshire’s first motorway upgrade since the 1970s.
Holly Mumby-Croft, MP for Scunthorpe, said: “This government cash is delivering change for Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire – we can see that first hand in these striking images which show the incredible progress that has been made on this project despite the challenges we have all faced in the last 12 months.
“It is easy to make promises to invest, to improve and truly level up places like Scunthorpe but it is another to deliver them. This, plus £10m of Government cash for the high street and a further £21m via the towns fund, is delivering.
“These are just part of the ambitious plans that will benefit local people in both Scunthorpe and surrounding towns and villages, bringing new homes, new jobs and ultimately a brighter and more prosperous future.”
