Police launch investigation after garage break-in
Humberside Police have launched an investigation after the Jet garage on Scartho Road, Grimsby, was broken into.
Scenes of Crime officers cordoned off the petrol station at around 8 this morning.
It is reported that three men stole cigarettes from the premises at around 2.30 this morning.
Police have now issued an appeal, confirming that their search for the three suspects.
A spokesperson for the force said:
“Today, Friday, May 28, at 2:30am officers were called to reports of a burglary at a business premises of Scartho Road, Grimsby.
“It is believed that three unknown men have gained access via the main entrance to the building taking a quantity of cigarettes.
“Officers are continuing to conduct enquiries and would appeal for anyone with information that could help to contact us.”
Humberside Police have requested that anyone with information contact them via the non-emergency number 101, quoting 16/54952/21.
