Residents to be asked their views on local highways and transport services in upcoming survey

More than 3,000 residents in North East Lincolnshire will be asked to submit their views on the local highways and transport services in an independent national survey by the National Highways and Transport Network.

The survey will be sent out to “a random sample” of residents and will ask them the same set of questions.

North East Lincolnshire Council and ENGIE are one of 111 local authorities signed up to the standardised survey.

Residents chosen to take part in the survey will receive their letters after Monday 7 June, followed by a reminder to fill out the survey.

The results, both local and national, will be published in October this year.

Councillor Stewart Swinburn, portfolio holder for environment and transport, said: “Working alongside our regeneration partner, ENGIE, we are committed to continually engaging with residents to understand their views and take action when we can.

“Our involvement in this national survey provides another opportunity for us to understand the local views of our highways and transport service, benchmarked against the views of residents in other areas.

“Data collection of this scale will also support the continued work within the service, providing an invaluable insight across England and the region to spot emerging trends and identify solutions or steps that can be taken to support or address arising issues.

“If you do receive a letter, please take some time to be part of our sample locally and ensure we can get a good level of feedback to support the data collection here. In taking the time to have your say, you will be helping to shape the future of the highway and transport service.”
