Layla, 11, has been getting green fingered for one local charity

Layla, from Scunthorpe has been getting green fingered for one local charity.

Laya, 11, has been raising funds for local hospice Lindsey Lodge.

Mum Leah said ‘Layla does it all herself, she’s got her own greenhouse in the garden. Grandma helped her interest in plants from a young age – I don’t have a clue!’

‘I work at Lindsey Lodge and Layla is always asking what events are happening because she wants to take part. She’s even signed up for a shark dive next month, I’m as excited as she is for the event.

Layla has grown everything from sunflowers to tomato plants, marigolds and beyond – we’re rooting for you!

Leah took to social media to help advertise the plant sale to help Layla, she made a sign for the garden and local neighbours and residents came to give their support.

Leah said: ‘even the local bin men stopped by and donated’.

Layla added: ‘the bucket is very heavy!’

Layla sold her last batch of plants on Monday, but you can support her on her shark dive on her just giving page.
