Teenagers taken to hospital following assault in People’s Park
Two teenagers had to be taken to hospital and be treated for minor injuries following a reported assault in People’s Park on Friday evening.
Police are urging members of the public to come forward and get in touch if they witnessed the incident take place or have any information which could help with their investigation.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “Officers attended to a reported disturbance and anti-social behaviour on Friday 11 June 2021 in People’s Park, Grimsby.
“An assault was reported to have taken place, at 8:30pm, with two teenagers being taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.”
Chief Inspector Paul French said: “We received further reports on Monday 14th June and have undertaken several lines of enquiries and these are to continue.
“Our teams are patrolling the area to provide reassurance to the local community and to speak with nearby residents.
“We are aware that there may be more witnesses who have not yet come forward.
“As the incident is being investigated, we are asking for anyone with information or who saw the incident, who has not spoken with us, to get in touch by calling 101 and quoting log 627 of 11 June 2021.”
