Police close junction following ‘medical emergency’
Police cordoned off a busy Grimsby junction at around 11pm last night following reports of an alleged stabbing.
Two people are said to have been hospitalised.
East Midlands Ambulance Service also responded to the incident at the junction of Boulevard Avenue, Corporation Road and Gilbey Road.
A spokesperson said:
“We received a call at 10.19pm on June 19 to Gilbey Road in Grimsby.
“The caller reported there was a medical emergency.
“We sent LIVES Community First Responders, a paramedic in an ambulance car, and two crewed ambulances.
“Two patients were taken to Hull Royal Infirmary.”
Humberside Police officers remain on the scene this morning.
Yesterday, a spokesperson for the force tweeted:
“Please be aware of a road closure on Boulevard Avenue at the Corporation road junction up to Haven Avenue due to ongoing Police incident.”
