By A local beauty therapist with a passion for entertainment and beauty has opened a new salon in Cleethorpes Marketplace offering treatments and Pamper Parties.
Tara Stanley officially opened her doors to Tiara’s VIP Pamper Parties last week after a grand opening on May 29th with local Cleethorpes MP, Martin Vickers, cutting the ribbon. There was a great response from the public with lots of people coming to watch the entertainment by Tara’s Princesses.
The business offers beauty treatments and a variety of pamper parties to choose from with bronze, silver, and gold packages available for people of all ages. All types of themes are offered to tailor the perfect experience, from princesses, Hollywood, superheroes and disco parties.
In addition, Tara has introduced personal experiences such as Mother and Daughter Day’s and Father and Daughter Day pamper packages, with foot spas and facials offered with a mocktail bar. These have been incredibly popular, as the lockdown has eased, and allows parents to spend quality time with their children.
Tara has a strong passion for entertainment due to previously competing as a professional ice skater. Unfortunately, an injury halted this, and she went back to college to pursue her career in hairdressing and beauty therapy. After working as a beautician and perfecting advanced treatments, Tara went to work for a local aesthetics business in Cleethorpes.
Her inspiration for her business was found through her four children after struggling to find new experiences for them for their birthdays. “I always wanted my children to have amazing birthdays and would go above and beyond for them at home, but I was always limited to what I could do which is how I came up with this idea”.
Tara approached her manager at the time, to see if she could trial the parties at weekends and from there it turned into a success.
“I was able to combine my love for entertainment and beauty and seeing people so happy I knew I wanted to do this full time, which is when I started looking how to set up my own business” Tara said.
Unfortunately, COVID had an impact on her pamper parties, but it didn’t stop Tara’s enthusiasm. Tara and her princesses were able to bring smiles to children’s faces through doing outdoor meet and greets over Christmas.
“Since we couldn’t do anything indoors, we came up with the idea to bring the experience to them outdoors, and everyone loved it. We also attended Glyn Thomas Care Home as a charity event and performed in the gardens. The smiles on the resident’s faces were so beautiful to see and the manager, Tracey Briggs, thanked us immensely. This was so special to us and I definitely want to continue to do this”.
The lockdown enabled Tara to find the perfect location in Cleethorpes Marketplace for Tiara’s VIP Pamper Parties. “I am so glad we found this place. I got the keys on 31st March, but it was very run down so we’ve almost had to empty it and start again!”
Tara and her partner, Damian, came up with the décor ideas and with the help of friends and family including Tara’s brother-in-law and builder, Robert Stanley, helped to quickly turn it around into a perfect pamper salon.
Also helping turn ideas into reality was E-Factor’s Start-Up Business Advisor, Julie Sweeney. Tara reached out to E-Factor in August 2020 and worked closely with Julie to create a business plan, work out costings, cashflow budgeting and finding the perfect premises.
Tara said “My interaction with E-Factor Business has been brilliant. I started communicating with Julie last summer and thought I would have had to wait in person before starting anything, but we managed to start the process and did everything online and through phone calls. Any idea I had, I would send to Julie, and she worked with me to work out the best possible route to take, so it’s been amazing having her support this whole journey”.
Tara hopes to continue to grow and develop the business by offering a wider variety of pamper parties for all occasions and introducing more beauty treatments.
“Before the lockdown, the response was amazing. We had so many positive reviews and it was so lovely to see people enjoying the parties. I am hoping we can re-build our awareness and continue the success in this location. We already have people booking up for this summer, so it’s really exciting” Tara said.
For bookings, Tiara’s VIP Pamper Parties is flexible and open 7 days a week to create the perfect party. Tara said, “I love what I do and I want everyone who comes here to make happy memories and have an amazing experience”.
To add to the pamper experience, a Limousine can be hired via Select Limo’s to take you to your party, Meggie’s Fish and Chips will be offering discounts to those who have attended a party, further information on this can be provided by Tara on booking. Also, to support key workers, an NHS discount on parties and treatments will be offered to those with a Blue Light card.
