Organisers confirm the return of Hull Fair

Hull Fair is set to return in October 2021 for its 728th season, organisers have confirmed!

The event, which is one of the largest of its kind in Europe, was forced to cancel due to the coronavirus pandemic last year for the first time in 75 years.

People have reacted with joy, but the announcement came with a warning that plans could be reversed if the government introduces new restrictions.
A statement issued by the council said:
“In view of the published four-step roadmap announced by the Government to loosen Covid-19 restrictions in which specific dates were given, we are hoping that Hull Fair 2021 will go ahead, however there is a danger that the timetable may slip, and therefore any steps for planning the fair will need to be reversible at all stages.

“As Hull Fair takes months of planning, we have begun planning for Hull Fair 2021 which we hope will be time well spent.

“Application forms to attend this year’s Hull Fair are now available but please note that this does not guarantee that the fair will go ahead.”

The fair is expected to open daily between 2 pm until 11pm with more than 250 rides and more than 100 stalls.

It will be closed on Sunday, October 10.

Hull Fair is a free flow event and doesn’t require wristbands or admissions on to the site, rides are priced individually per person.
