Last week, the Business Hive team and colleagues from E-Factor Group were delighted to have the Mayor of the Borough of North East Lincolnshire, Cllr David Hasthorpe join them to officially open the new-look Business Hive HQ and BaseCamp coworking space on Dudley Street in Grimsby!
Over 50 local business people, including Richard Ellis of Wilton Cobley who managed the entire project alongside Business Hive Manager Jo Taylor, joined throughout the day for an official ribbon cutting ceremony accompanied by fizz and nibbles provided by local catering team, Waltham Kitchen.
As part of the major refurbishment, the previous yellow and black ‘Hive’ reception has been transformed into an exclusive Members Lounge with colourful plush velvet chairs and bespoke sofas to create an environment for meeting in comfort and style that gives the air of being in a city centre workspace. Plus, a brand-new bean-to-cup coffee machine offering a range of hot drinks in a dedicated coffee room adds to the overall luxury feel.
To keep in line with the major changes to the Members Lounge, state-of-the-art technology in the conference rooms upstairs means clients can just plug-in and go and the Wifi across the entire building has been upgraded to ensure high speed connectivity, all courtesy of Patron Members LCS.
Hive Manager Jo Taylor says ‘We really want our Members and Tenants to have the best, most seamless experience possible when they are working here so I worked closely with LCS CEO Glenn Thow to ensure we were providing just that. Our new look boardroom offers a smooth ‘plug in and go’ service and BaseCamp has all plugs and USB’s on the desktops for ease of use, it’s what our Members and Tenants deserve so we’ve made it happen!’
BaseCamp is a brand-new initiative, introduced by E-Factor Properties and located upstairs in the Business Hive, this new, high-quality co-working space offers a flexible way to work, where desks can be rented for a day, week, month or year.
“We are providing the opportunity for people to work in a social, yet professional, environment, without the large overheads. It can be your full-time space, or you can pop in for the odd day. The attraction is it is good-value, flexible space with the added bonus of bookable meeting rooms, high-speed connectivity, a staffed reception and the latest in office technology. This modern and aspirational workspace plugs the gap between office and home working,” said Natalie Cresswell, Property and Operations Manager of E-Factor Properties.
To brighten up the walls, local photographers Gary Davies and Dan Clarke have provided the Hive with some stunning images of Grimsby and Cleethorpes, including a landscape shot of Cleethorpes beach and promenade, and a close-up shot of the iconic Grimsby Dock Tower.
“Members already love coming into the Hive but we have really taken it up a gear. Think of the concierge of a top hotel – that is the wow experience we are aiming for. A lot of thought has gone into creating a space that has a modern industry look and feel, with warmth, comfort and great coffee, where people want to come and spend a couple of hours,” said E-Factor MD Mark Webb.
The Business Hive and BaseCamp were officially opened on Tuesday 27th July, and is now open to all. To find out more contact Jo Taylor on 01472 242667 or email [email protected].
