Exciting sculpture trail comes to Scunthorpe!
North Lincolnshire’s showing of Of Earth and Sky will see public spaces transformed with locally written poetry in visually striking displays.
Poetry created by the public will be curated by Luke Jerram and a local poet and installed across twenty five locations forming a temporary sculpture trail in parks and other public places, including Scunthorpe.
The public will then able to discover and interact with the words.
This is the first time 20-21 has presented a sculpture trail and it aims to create an enjoyable walking and cycling route through the town and surrounding green spaces.
Linked events will take place during the presentation, including a video for those unable to undertake the route.

Luke’s temporary art trail consisting of words by local people written large on the landscape goes live tomorrow.
The Of Earth and Sky exhibition will run from 6 August to 2 September.
An online map shows the locations of the artworks, and QR codes to scan at each site, linking you to the full text of the poems.
