Body of Hull woman found at property on Plane Street
Reports of a house on Plane Street being cordoned off last Monday, August 9, have escalated as it has been confirmed that the body of a woman was found.
Police cars, an ambulance, a fire engine and a Crime Scene Investigation unit were spotted at the scene as they responded to a call fearing for the woman’s safety at 4:20pm.
Humberside Police said that they found the woman once they entered the premises and realised immediately that she had already passed away.
They added that the woman’s death has been labelled “unexplained” at this point in the investigation.
Two officers were seen standing guard outside the property as their colleagues knocked on doors to see if anybody had heard any disturbances or could provide them with CCTV footage.
The house has since been cordoned off by police tape.
A spokeswoman for Humberside Police said: “Emergency services attended reports of the concern for safety of a woman at a flat on Plane Street in Hull, at around 4:20pm yesterday evening (Monday 9 August).
“On entry to the flat, it was discovered that a woman had sadly died.
“At this stage of our enquiries we are treating the woman’s death as unexplained and we would appeal for anyone with information that could help with our investigations to call our non-emergency number 101, quoting log 344 of 9 August.”
