Missing woman Saskia Soo, 28, “no longer considered missing by police”

28-year-old Saskia Soo, who was previously reported as missing, is allegedly no longer considered by police as a missing person after being seen purchasing camping gear in Argos.

One of Saskia’s loved ones, Jamie Watkinson, took to Facebook last night (Monday 16 August) to announce the news, stating that the police’s decision to no longer consider Saskia missing is a “huge blow to everyone involved”.

She is urging the public to continue the search for Saskia, adding that the “main concern of Saskia is the state of her mental health”.

Saskia Soo was last seen on 10 August in the Arnold area of Nottingham.

It is believed she lived in Grimsby during her teenage years before moving to Nottingham.

According to Jamie, the last they know of Saskia was that she boarded a train at Derby. Jamie now believes she has travelled to Newport in South Wales.

The public appeal by Jamie Watkinson reads: “It’s with a heavy heart to let everyone know that Saskia is not considered anymore as a missing person by police. This is due to her being noticed going into Argos to buy camping gear, and she is feeding herself and making sure she has plenty to drink.

“The last info we got was she went on a train to Derby but we don’t know the end destination. Cardiff and London has stops at Derby and Wales for certainly has a change at Derby.

“We believe it is to Newport, situated in South Wales since only place that matches up with price of train ticket, Saskia bought.

“It’s a huge blow to everyone involved. So it is down to all of us now and the power of social media, to try and get Saskia found.

“We know some of her actions in regards to going missing is VERY out of character for her. Our main concern of Saskia, is the state of her mental health.

“Please share on all your social medias – Make Tik Tok missing appeals, share to missing groups, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube – anywhere you can think of.

“We should not give up in finding Saskia! Someone, somewhere out there has seen her! Someone, somewhere out there knows information!”

Nottinghamshire Police have been contacted for comment.
