Covid cases in North East Lincolnshire slowly declining
Covid cases in North East Lincolnshire are slowly beginning to decline, with the current infection rate standing at 293 per 100,000.
According to the latest government figures, 454 people confirmed a positive covid test in the week between 30 September and 6 October.
However, hospitalisations are still high, with 41 patients in hospital as of the end of September.
Currently, 8 of those in hospital are having to use a ventilator.
The North Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Trust recently asked the public not to attend A&E unless they need urgent care as their hospitals are incredibly busy.
Vaccines continue to be distributed across the area, with 104,147 people having had both doses of the vaccine as of 6 October.
