Police issue update following serious collision in Cleethorpes
Humberside Police have issued an update after a serious collision in the centre of Cleethorpes yesterday at around 4:30pm.
The incident, which happened on Cambridge Street, involved a bus and a pedestrian.
Officers have now confirmed that a member of the public was taken to hospital to be treated for injuries during the collision.
Cambridge Road, Knoll street and Alexandra road were all shut for several hours as a result.
Emergency services remained in attendence while an investigation was carried out.`
The area reopened at 7:10pm.
A statement issued by Humberside Police said:
“Emergency services attended to a road traffic collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle on Cambridge Street, Cleethorpes, at 4.20pm yesterday (Wednesday 6 October).
“The road was closed at 4.40pm and it later re-opened at 7.10pm.
“One person was taken to hospital to be treated for injuries.”
